Born 1968 in Stockbridge, Massachusetts of a Cuban jazz vocalist mother and a Russian Jewish gambling addicted US Coast Guard Captain father. His mother's third husband, a British classical guitarist, whose family brewery "Flower's Ale" paid to build the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, in Stratford Upon Avon, England, adopted Ethan at age 4. Ethan at age 11 learned to channel his blood's desire for risk into expression of character in his first professional board walk with Cicely Tyson and Hector Elizondo in The Berkshire Theatre Festival's, The Rose Tattoo. Graduating Interlochen Arts Academy, time at Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, he has worked on stage, film and television across London, The UK, The Netherlands, New York and the US. His upcoming screen work includes the lead in the upcoming feature Dragon Day and Will Ferrell's upcoming comedy miniseries The Spoils Of Babylon for IFC. His recent appearances are on Go On, Parenthood, The Young and The Restless, E.R., and in well-known films such as Live Free or Die Hard and the cult classic Mallrats.
